With years of hands-on experience working in construction across every company I worked for, I saw the same frustrating problems: Salespeople dropped the ball on follow-up and initial contact. Pipelines were impossible to track. When projects moved to the field, project managers struggled to keep themselves, their team and customers updated on permits, scheduling, material delays, and progress. Salespeople ended up looking like the bad guys instead of the heroes who closed the deal and the company didn’t even realize they were losing because of bad systems.

 

For seven years, I was the salesperson who also handled my own estimating and project management from start to finish. I lived the pain every single day. I kept thinking: “This would be so much easier if we could automate the sales process, get smart notifications for permits and forms, keep the team and customers automatically updated, and invoice on time.”

 

That’s why I started Padgett Automations. Most builders needed practical automation. But do not want to replace or retrain valued employees every time someone leaves or gets overwhelmed when one person ends up wearing multiple hats.
